Position Summary:Reports to the Social Development Manager. Directly supervises the Residential Advisors on assigned shift or dormitory providing for maximum program coordination and student discipline. Prepares reports and records in compliance with government and management directives.Essential Functions:

  • Supervise, control dormitory conditions. Evaluate situations, conditions within the dormitories and make decisions or recommendations.

  • Assist in training and evaluation of residential living staff. Recommend department and personnel changes.

  • Assist in development and implementation of new or revised policies and procedures.

  • Perform administrative duties involving student passes, leaves, evaluations, progress reports, emergencies and separations.

  • Ensure safety and proper student behavior.

  • Communicate with families of students to resolve problems and assure well-being of students.

  • Coordinate residential living activities including recreation, entertainment, on and off center, dorm competitions and peer courts.

  • Promote the development of career success standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.

  • Inspect residential living areas. Recommend facility maintenance work where needed. Direct dorm patrol and daily cleanup. Monitor student laundry.

Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentOne year experience working with youthExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredComputer proficiency requiredValid Driver's license with an acceptable driving record
