The Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center is located on the former site of Camp Breckenridge, a World War II and Korean War army training facility in northwest Kentucky. Our center opened in 1965 as the Breckenridge Job Corps Center. The center name was changed in 1980 to honor Earle C. Clements, a former governor and U.S. senator of the state of Kentucky. The Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy is located in Morganfield, KY and is the second largest Job Corps within the United States.
Essential Functions:Perform maintenance and repair of structures, electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilating, air conditioning and drainage systems and washers and dryers; recommend contracted assistance when on-center repair is not possible. Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets, thermostats, breakers and fuses as directed. Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork. Install window shades or coverings, security locks, etc. Perform repair of replacement of plumbing, fixtures, washers and seals.
Education and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training and three years related experience. Must demonstrate craft skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
