JOB SUMMARYReporting to the Site Director, the Student Personnel Officer is responsible for the operation of trainee personnel, which includes the behavioral management system, legal services, student government and leadership, in compliance with government and management directives.Duties include, but not limited to:1. Coordinate preparation of significant incident reports for review by Center Director.2. Coordinate fact finding boards in compliance with Department of Labor, corporate and management directives.3. Manage student incentive program.4. Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the department.5. Assist in the development and implementation of new or revised policies and procedures affecting the department.6. Conducts audits and assessments regularly for contractual compliance, and quality of student services; prepare related reports.7. Manage systems to ensure students adhere to all center rules and regulations.8. Determine and administer disciplinary action for students who have violated rules of conduct, coordinate and monitor center boards and peer court functions and actions.9. Act as a liaison between courts and other judicial agencies. Maintain contact with Department of Labor, corporate and center management regarding legal matters of students.10. Counsel students regarding behavior issues.11. Conduct training on standards of conduct students and staff.12. Prepare and update student conduct section of student handbook; coordinate student personnel program with other center staff and maintain records and reports of activities.13. Conduct leadership training to all student government officers.14. Support, promote and enforce the Job Corps Zero Tolerance Policy.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelors Degree and 1 year related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills & computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
