STARTING WAGE IS $15.50 PER HOUR

Description

Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsible for the completion of a wide variety of tasks and keeping assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition. High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and an aptitude for performing a wide variety of tasks to include the ability to lift 50 lbs. and one year related experience. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.1. Perform maintenance and repair of structures, electrical systems, heating, plumbing, ventilating, air conditioning and drainage systems. Recommend contracted assistance when on-site repair is not possible.2. Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets and fuses as directed.3. Install window shades or coverings, security locks, etc.4. Repair or replace plumbing, fixtures, washers, seals, etc. 5. Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.6. Direct offenders assigned to facility maintenance. .7. Perform preventive maintenance checks of buildings and equipment.8. Perform routine scheduled checks of air conditioning systems. 9. Provide on-call assistance in emergency situations or during equipment malfunctions.10. Provide cleaning, transportation, moving of equipment as needed, while standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing on ladders, etc. 11. Operate all grounds equipment and machinery to include front end loaders, tractors, lawnmovers, edger and snow removal equipment.12. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. 13. Install and repair sprinklers and associated lawn watering equipment. 14. Maintain accountability of offenders and property; adhere to safety practices.15. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
