Essential Functions:

  • Establish and develop network and relationship with local and distant employers, applicable one-stop centers, local workforce investment opportunities act (WIOA) boards, Community Relations Council, and Industry Advisory Council for the purpose of providing placement and employment opportunities for Job Corps graduates.

  • Establish and develop relationships with members of the surrounding community to communicate Job Corps projects, changes in rules, procedures or activities of the center that may affect the community, and planning of events of mutual interest to the community and the Job Corps center.

  • Develop linkages to ensure that work site supervisors understand expectations of the workplace support role and the reciprocal benefits of the WBL program.

  • Communicate regularly with the career technical academic and counseling departments concerning the status of the internship program.

  • Assist in conducting in-service training for internships as required.

  • Coordinate the industrial advisory council and the community relations council meetings.

  • Assist in the development of new and revised policies and procedures affecting internships and related programs and activities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in general studies or related field and two years related experience, one of which should be in a supervisory capacity. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. Experience working with youth, and excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency also required. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
