Brunswick Job Corps is looking for a knowledgeable and energetic IT professional who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of computer systems, local area network (LAN), internet and desktop computer environments, in compliance with government and management directives.Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, and one year related experience. Directly related technical experience in systems analysis may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. Must have extensive knowledge of a variety of systems and multiple system architectures. Capable of using software applications, such as WordPerfect, MS Word, and Excel. Valid Georgia Drivers license with an acceptable driving record.Relocation expenses are not offered with this position.Essential Functions:Essential functions include but are not limited to, providing great customer service, support and solutions for operational problems;

  • Trouble shoot; Solve PC and connectivity problems

  • Install, modify, make minor repairs to microcomputer hardware and software systems and provide technical assistance and training to system users

  • Perform tests on data equipment where error conditions occur to determine the sources of malfunctions

  • Monitor, problem solve; file restoration, security administration, performance monitoring

  • Perform hardware and software upgrades, when appropriate. Perform cost benefit analysis, evaluate recommended software and peripheral hardware for user applications; maintain hardware inventory.

  • Act as telephone system administrator; set up and change phone features; trouble shoot telecommunication problems

  • Utilize skills with spreadsheets, word processing software, PC and diagnostic tools, in order to answer user questions professionally and independently. Utilize time management tools and skills

  • Audit usage licenses; assure compliance

  • Provide center wide computer training and technical assistance.

  • Promote the development of career success standards of Job Corps, by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring student population to success.

  • Support, promote, and enforce, the Job Corps zero tolerance policy.
